- 88 years old Harper Lee has announced she will be releasing her second novel ‘Go Set A Watchman’, 55 years after "To Kill A Mockingbird". It will be published on July 14th this year by Penguin Random House, under the William Heinemann imprint.
‘Go Set A Watchman' is actually Lee’s first novel, and was believed to be lost forever until it was recently re-discovered by her lawyer. It follows the eponymous heroine of ‘To Kill A Mockingbird’ - Scout - as a grown woman 20 years into the future. She returns from New York to Maycomb to visit her father.
